Toronto Buskerfest – 2011
Buskerfest is a remarkable, 4 day event that takes place in St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood of Downtown Toronto each year featuring performers and entertainers from around the world. The entertainers are an eclectic mix of street performers, artists, musicians and all-round weirdos who ply their talents for your tips. All of the shows are performed for free and at the end of the act the entertainer passes their hat and you decide the value of the show by donating what you think it was worth.

Friday Shinny
A couple weeks ago I took the camera out to our usual Friday night shinny hockey and took some great action shots of many of the players. I was really happy with how they turned out and was also happy to see that many of the players appreciated the photos as well. I put together a slide show of the highlights and it can be found here.
After the game I pulled out the flashes and had some extra fun getting action shots of Mark (our Drill Sergent) firing pucks into the net. Continue Reading…

Scenes from the ballpark…
April is here and that means that its baseball season again. The 2011 Toronto Blue Jays home opener was on Friday April 1, vs. the Minnesota Twins. As per the usual custom we made our annual pilgrimage down to the Rogers Centre for a night of baseball and frivolity.
